MCX IPO Gray Market Premium & Subscription Details
IPO Allotment & Listing Process
Basis of allotment Retail
Basic of allotment HNI
The retail limit for an IPO is now upto 2 Lacs. But the Income Tax AIR limit for an IPO is still 1 Lac. The company is supposed to report to the IT all transactions where it has received application money over 1 Lac. BUT if an application upto 2 Lacs is done through ASBA, then the company DOES NOT RECEIVE that amount but the bank blocks that much amount and you continue to receive bank interest on the same too. Upon allotment only allotment amount (say 35 shares @ Rs. 1032=Rs. Rs. 36,120) is deducted from your bank account. In that case, does the company report such transaction to IT under AIR ? According to my understanding, it cannot because it has not received amount full amount of application i.e. Rs. 1,98,144 (192 @ Rs. 1032)even though the amount applied is higher than I.T. AIR limit.
जवाब देंहटाएंPlease throw some light on this.
Thanks
1. No Income Tax Limit for IPO, limit 2 lakh as per SEBI guidelines for all IPO's.
जवाब देंहटाएं2. Your Bank a/c block 2 lakh just like your regular bank balance, only you can't withdrawal after specific time period. Your account debited only 36120.
Example :
bal as on 24-2 211000
Allotment dt.10-3 36,120(dr) 174880(bal)
Means you are purchase shares only for 36120
